RE: FAA Planning Grant application (4)Fred,
I spoke to Gary last week regarding the timing of the grant. He (the
FAA) is focusing on development grants right now. Gary indicated that
there is no rush on completing the fee negotiations since they will be
issuing planning grants following development grants. I told Gary last
week that I would get him a revised SOW sometime this week for his final
concurrence. There is no way the FAA will have a grant offer to you by
next Monday; realistically, you are looking at the following council
meeting at the end of June. Once I get through Gary’s comments and
revise the SOW, I will get the final fees together and submit them to
you and Jane for negotiations. Then we will submit the fee negotiations
to the FAA for concurrence. Once this is done (or at the same time), we
would submit the grant application. We should be able to take care of
all this early next week but I don’t know what the FAA’s timing is for
getting authority on planning grants. Going before Council with an
Agreement and Grant Offer is dependent on the FAA’s timing. I will
discuss this further with Gary when I talk to him next.

Jeff:
I noticed some emails coming through about the EA, have we sewn up the
Planning Grant yet? We need to get that signed and down to Gary in the
very near future, right. The EA Grant is still a year away. We are on
the agenda for next Monday night with Council. I have a work session
with Council starting at 5:30 P.M. next Monday prior to the Council
Meeting. Where do we stand?
