AI data centers Public Comment response from Mayor Hunter Aimee Brunckhorst From: Ryan Hunter Sent: Monday, March 16, 2026 8:15 AM To: ShayLynn Fransen; Kalispell Meetings Public Comment Subject: Re: EXTERNAL Al data centers Hi Shaylynn, Thankyou foryour comment. I share your concern about All data centers. We had a conversation about this recently at City Council and it was mentioned that land in the Flathead is too expensive for Al data centers, which is why the ones that are being proposed in Montana are in parts of the state with cheaper land values. If one did locate in the area, it would likely be out in the county rather than in the city. If there was one proposed for the city, I believe it would receive very heavy scrutiny from the City Council. We will keep your concerns in mind if anything is proposed. Thankyou. I hope you are all aware of the egregious amount of drinking water All data centers use, if you are not I ask that you look into it. Specifically I ask that you look into Corpus Christi Texas and what All data centers are doing to that town. Corpus Christi is predicted to run out of drinking water this year because of All data centers. I would hope that would never happen to Kalispell, but hopes are not always enough. I ask that you do not allow All data centers to be built within our town limits nor to have access to city water. Unfortunately scientists have predicted that this issue will only continue and that we all may run out of drinking water by the next 5 years. I urge you to consider my request and thank you for your time. Sincerely, ShayLynn Fransen i
