SUBJECT: Forestry Chip Truck- Bid Rejection
MEETING DATE: March 16, 2026
BACKGROUND: Through the 2025-2026 budgeting process, City Council granted
procurement authority to the City Manager to purchase a chip truck for the Forestry Department
BID RESULTS: Bids were opened on March 6, 2026, at City Hall. One responsive bid was
received from Custom Truck One Source; however, the bid did not meet the specifications
outlined in the Invitation for Bids (IFB).
RECOMMENDATION: Because the submitted bid did not meet the specifications outlined in
the IFB, staff recommends rejecting the bid and readvertising the chip truck purchase.
FISCAL EFFECTS: None at this time.
ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to reject the bid submitted by Custom Truck One Source and
authorize staff to readvertise for the purchase of a forestry chip truck.
