MINUTES
ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE

MEMBERS PRESENT: Julia Pierrotet (Chair), Shawn Pauly, Sarah Turner (Zoom) Chris Petersen,
and Mark Pirrie.
OTHERS PRESENT: City Staff –Kari Barnhart, Donnie McBath

Approval of Minutes: Shawn moved to approve the October 28, 2025 minutes; Sarah 2nd; approved
(5-0).
New Business:
Signs:
Buildings: Stillwater Bend Phase 2 – Rose Crossing (behind the new Home2Suites
Hotel) – new multi-family - Renée Strand from Holst Architecture presented
renderings and materials. The committee liked the monolithic use of
materials, tree selection, rooflines, and open space. Shawn requested that the
shingles on the 2-story apartments be brought all the way down. Kari advised
her that there are future plans to extend Rose Crossing and requested that any
material changes be sent to her for approval.
Harris Financial – 305 Lincoln St – new office building – Ron Nash and
Aaron Wallace from Montana Creative presented renderings and material
samples. Shawn liked the siding color but would like the soffit material to be
less orange. Aaron stated that there are plans to select a browner color. He
also stated that the equipment on the east and west sides would be screened
by landscaping.
KM Bar – 30 2nd Street – Patio remodel/new windows – Aaron Wallace and
Ron Nash presented plans and renderings. Julia and Shawn would like to see
headers over the new windows on the south side of the building. Julia
confirmed with Aaron that the signage would be kept. Shawn motioned to
approve with the condition that there be headers over the new windows;
Mark seconded (approved 5-0).
