Good morning,
As an attorney and a resident of Kalispell, I wanted to communicate to you that I am in complete
support of local law enforcement cooperating with and aiding where possible federal law
enforcement in the prosecution of their duties, particularly as those duties pertain to illegal
immigration.
I was made aware recently from articles in the Flathead Beacon and Daily Inter Lake that certain
residents have expressed a contrary opinion. I wanted to make sure that my opinion on the matter
was conveyed as well.
We are a nation of laws, and we don't get to pick and choose which ones we are going to
observe. The place for change in policy is on the federal level with legislation if that is desired.
