10-28-25 Conrad Mansion Museum Board Minutes Conrad Mansion Museum Board of Directors October 28,2025 -4:00 p.m. Kalispell Chamber of Commerce 1. Welcome-Members present: Natalie Robinson, Cate Webber, Sue Corrigan, Everit Sliter, Mark Schickendantz, Chris Vick, Diane Medler,Susanne Wigginton,Jacqueline Stroth,Carrie Nelson, and Museum Acting Director,Abigail Vandervoort. 2. Guest presentation-Neighborhood grade schoolers, Harper and Hadley Madman gave a presentation about Drac,the resident Mansion cat. Harper and Hadley, along with other friends in the neighborhood, held four lemonade stands during the summer. Proceeds were used to purchase an electric cat door and supplies for Drac.They also help care for Drac on the weekends when the Mansion is closed on the off season. Drac is well loved. 3. Consent agenda- • November meeting will be moved to November 1811 • September minutes accepted. • Treasurer's report for September 2025-Chris moved to accept. Mark seconded. 4. Interim Director's Report- See Abigail's submitted September report. • The wheelchair lift was installed yesterday(10/27/25)and works well. • The Mansion will be closed during November for cleaning and Christmas decorating. New holiday tour plan for staying open later on Friday's and offering candle light tours with music. • Mansion staff proposed reduced tour pricing to maximize tour numbers while the house is decorated. Discussion centered on finding the best balance of tour volume and revenue during winter months. Carrie made a motion for holiday pricing to be$17 for Adult-Guided and$12 Adult-Self Guided.Chris seconded the motion. Suzanne amended the motion to clarify the child rates and Everit seconded the amendment. The final amended rate proposal: Guided Tours Self-Guided Tours Adult $17 $15 Child $12 $10 • Other suggestions included gift certificates, buy X tickets,get 1 free, and discounts packaged with other area passes. This discussion was tabled until November when Brit returns to the office. • The Great Fish Community Challenge match was$17,000 this year. ($31,550 donations+$17,000 match funds= $48,550 total)The Challenge was a success and the total number of donors and amount raised grew from last year.The Mansion is grateful for wonderful community support. S. Committee Reports- Education Committee-Sue wrote a report summarizing school tours and National History Day Regional qualifier event for Flathead Electric and Tia presented it. 6. Other Business- • Hand-Railing- Mark proposed installing a metal hand rail at the rock wall steps on the south side of the Mansion.The hand railing would not interfere or be attached to the rock wall. He estimated the price at$1,700.Chris made a motion to hire someone to fabricate and install a handralling not attached to the rock wall.Sue seconded. Motion passed. • Board positions-Callie Langohr has submitted a letter of interest.Tia contacted officials at the University of Montana regarding UM representation on the board and they will be in touch. • Chris Vick would like a committee assigned to work on updating Mansion agreement with the City. Members of the Finance committee were recommended.City reps should also be on committee. • Manion staff and board member holiday party-(Dec. 1,6'14:001at the Mansion) Chris Vick has generously offered to cover catering again this year. 7.
