August 19th, 2025-4:00 p.m.
Kalispell Chamber of Commerce
1. Welcome- Members present: Mary Pat Murphy, Natalie Robinson, Teri Iwerson,
Jacquelyn Stroth, Diane Stout, Everit Sliter, Sue Corrigan, Mark Schickendantz, Chris Vick,
Gary Havens, Carrie Nelson, Museum Director Brit Clark, and visiting guest Alan Davis
from the Whitefish Community Foundation for the beginning of the meeting. Diane
Stout led the meeting.
2. Guest Speaker-Alan Davis, President/CEO of Whitefish Community Foundation shared
information about preparing for a capital campaign.
3. Consent agenda-
a) July meeting cancelled. No July minutes.
b) Treasurer's report for July 2025- Endowment numbers not recorded yet. Everit
provided a brief review.
4. Executive Director's Report-
a) See submitted Director's July report.
• Brit reviewed growth of self-guided tours and impact of summer pricing
implemented this season.
• Accessibility lift for porch has been ordered and is approved by insurance.
• Water irrigation leak in the yard is being investigated. Brit is working with
the City to solve. There are 400 heads and 16 zones in the irrigation
system.
• Great Fish Community Challenge- reviewed upcoming events and
donations to date.
• Upcoming Events- Fairy Walks-Staff will promote the Great Fish Challenge
during the Sept. 7th event.
• Upcoming Events- Ghost Tours-A security person will be on site during
ghost tours this year. After discussion about Ghost Tour pricing, Everit
moved to leave the rates the same as last year. Chris seconded.
• Brit will be on maternity leave beginning September 1st until mid-
November. Abigail will be acting director while Brit is on leave.
S. Committee Reports- (as remaining time permits)
a) Maintenance Committee-
Gary shared information about upcoming sprinkler system inspections.
Electrical projects are still waiting on bids.
b) Legal Committee-
Chris confirmed that there are insurance agreement issues to work out if
we build the bathroom/office structure.
