04-15-25 Conrad Mansion Museum Board Minutes Conrad Mansion Museum Board of Directors April 15, 2025—3:30 :00-5:00 p.m. Chamber of Commerce 1. Welcome- Members present: Natalie Robinson, Gail Erickson, Mary Pat Murphy, Chris Vick, Susanne Wigginton, Diane Medler,Teri lwerson, Carrie Nelson,Tia Robbin, Mark Schickendantz, Museum Director Brit Clark, and Jacqueline Stroth, 2. Consent agenda- a) February 2025 minutes-accepted. (The March meeting was cancelled.) b) Treasurer's Report- Mark moved to accept. Chris 2nd. All in favor. c) Board Appointments-After introductions, Chris moved to accept Jacqueline Stroth to the board,Susanne 2nd, all in favor. Welcome Jacqueline! Diane M. also reviewed status of other board member terms. d) Elect Board Officers-The following slate of officers was presented. Mark moved to accept the slate of officers and elect for another term. Chris 2nd. All in favor. • Diane Medler- President • Diane Stout-Vice President • Everit Sliter-Treasurer • Carrie Nelson-Secretary 3. Executive Director's report- • Brit reviewed her submitted April report. Bids are being compiled for wiring for the East side of the Mansion and for licensed lift operators for installation of the outdoor wheelchair lift. • A memorial for Judy Schickendantz will be held at the Mansion on June 14t". Marls is also helping with the lift in honor of Judy as a lasting legacy and remembrance of her ability to lift the spirits of those around her. • Brit is collecting bids for Mansion electrical project needs. Flathead Electric is writing a report that can be shared with electricians. • Brit gave an overview of the 2024 season. All summer guides are returning this season. Brit plans to adjust schedules for increased consistency. The Mansion has some great volunteers and Chare Largent will help train new volunteers. Interviews for the museum assistant position are in progress. • Brit has been meeting with insurance representative regarding coverage areas. • The Mansion's short professional video is complete and was viewed at the end of the meeting. Positive reviewsl 4. 2025 Great Fish Community Challenge- * Two changes for this year, include that the challenge has been shorted from 6 weeks to 4 weeks (running mid August- mid September). There will not be a Fun Run this year. • Brit has requested a board committee to help with Community Challenge responsibilities this year. Gail and Diane M. volunteered. • Members discussed the primary use of funds for the Great Fish Community Challenge and the amount to set as a goal, Tia made a motion to set the fund- raising goal at $35,000. Mary Pat seconded. • Brit submitted the following proposed 2025 Great Fish Community Challenge primary use of funds statement, After discussion, Chris moved to accept the statement as provided by Brit and Mary Pat seconded the motion. All in favor. "Funds raised through the Great Fish Community Challenge will help the Conrad Mansion Museum enhance its educational programs through rotating exhibits and support much-needed maintenance of the 1895 historic home. As a treasured Flathead Valley landmark, the Mansion continues to inspire, educate, and connect our community to its rich local history." S. Update on restroom project facilities design-Suzanne shared updates on the new building for public restrooms. Architects toured the house focusing on appropriate details that could be used to tie the office/restroom building to the Mansion. Construction documents are very close to complete. 6. Strategic Goals and Action Plan 2025/2026-Strategic goals, action steps, and progress made was reviewed. (See submitted report.) 7.
