Letter of Support for Cassidy Kipp – Ward 3 from Shannon Freix Aimee Brunckhorst From: Shannon Freix <shannonfreix@gmail.com> Sent: Friday, January 16, 2026 10:49 AM To: Kalispell Meetings Public Comment; Aimee Brunckhorst Subject: EXTERNAL Letter of Support for Cassidy Kipp—Ward 3 City Council Appointment To the Mayor and City Manager of Kalispell, I am writing to express my strong support for the appointment of Cassidy Agan-Kipp to the vacant Ward 3 seat on the Kalispell City Council. Cassidy has demonstrated a consistent and genuine commitment to our community through her professional and civic engagement. As a nonprofit leader with the Community Action Partnership, she has worked directly with underserved populations in the Flathead Valley, helping individuals and families access critical services and support. This role has required not only compassion, but a deep, working knowledge of the structural challenges facing our community, including housing instability, access to services, and economic pressures. Cassidy is exceptionally well educated on these issues and approaches them with both practicality and care. Beyond her professional experience, Cassidy is an active and informed civic participant. She regularly attends City Council meetings, often in person, and follows local governance closely. I have also worked with Cassidy directly and have consistently seen her conduct herself with professionalism, grace, and respect, even during difficult conversations or when opinions differ. She represents both her views and the community with a level of composure appropriate to public office. In recent years, this standard of decorum has not always been present in council settings by all members, and Cassidy would be a strong corrective to that trend. She is diplomatic, well informed, and capable of engaging productively with city staff, fellow council members, and the public alike. I have genuinely enjoyed working with her, including moments of disagreement, because she remains thoughtful and constructive to seek educated solutions. As a parent, Cassidy brings an additional perspective grounded in long-term community wellbeing. She is invested in ensuring Kalispell continues to grow in a way that is thoughtful, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of current and future residents. Her combination of nonprofit leadership, policy awareness, and lived community involvement would make her a strong and steady addition to the City Council. I believe Kipp would serve Ward 3 and the broader Kalispell community with integrity and diligence. I encourage the Mayor and City Manager to give her strong consideration for this appointment. Sincerely, Shannon Freix 9122nd Ave W Kalispell, MT 59901 406.499.2309 i
