Letter of Recommendation for Dustin Leftridge from Dorothy Drury January 10, 2026
Dear Members of the Kalispell City Council,
I am pleased to offer my strong endorsement of Dustin Leftridge as he seeks to serve the
remainder of Ward 3's term on the Kalispell City Council.
I have known Dustin personally for some time and have always appreciated his sense of humor,
intelligence, and genuine community-minded spirit. More recently, I had the opportunity to work
closely with him during a campaign to raise awareness for a local public school levy. Through
that experience, I was able to observe firsthand the leadership qualities he would bring to public
service.
Dustin has a remarkable ability to process large amounts of information and distill it into clear,
meaningful summary points. He approaches complex issues thoughtfully and with a focus on
understanding the full picture, which is essential in a decision-making role that affects an entire
community.
He represents the best of what leadership should be. Dustin is an attentive listener and a willing
learner. Rather than clinging to personal biases, he consistently came to the table open to new
information and perspectives. As conversations evolved and we heard from a broader range of
community members, Dustin demonstrated the humility and integrity to reassess his views and
pivot when needed in pursuit of the fairest and most effective outcomes.
He is also an excellent communicator who remains calm and constructive in stressful situations.
His ability to engage respectfully, even when conversations are challenging, helps foster trust
and productive dialogue.
Most importantly, Dustin is a natural community leader. He cares deeply about local issues and
brings extensive experience in bringing people together around shared goals. His approach is
thoughtful, collaborative, and focused on positive outcomes for the community as a whole.
I could not be more enthusiastic about the possibility of Dustin serving the people of Kalispell. I
believe he would be a fair, reasonable, and positive leader, and a strong asset to the City
