BACKGROUND: As the number of leaf collection areas continues to grow and boulevard trees
mature, the volume of leaves requiring collection increases annually. To support this expanding
service, the FY26 budget includes funding for the Street Division to purchase a 20-cubic-yard
leaf vacuum trailer. This new equipment will enhance our ability to efficiently collect leaves in
all areas of Kalispell throughout the fall season.
Bids were opened on Thursday, October 9, 2025. A single bid was received that met the City of
Kalispell specifications. The single bid is listed below.

was within allocated budget amount.
ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to award the bid for a new 20 Cubic Yard Leaf Vac Trailer to
NorMont Equipment Co. in the amount of $179,520.00.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The purchase will be funded by the Special Street Fund line item 2500-
421-430245-940: Machinery & Equipment, new 20 cubic yard leaf vac trailer.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested and approved by the City Council.
