Hello my name is Felicia and I am a mother of a 3-year-old and a long time Kalispell resident
and recently I have noticed that on our morning adventures to the park we have come across
multiple homeless encampments and garbage and clothing and the possibility of drug
paraphernalia or dangerous objects strewn about and the treeline.
I would like to know who is responsible for picking this up because I contacted KPD multiple
instances and let them know I also have pictures of these things and they said they can't do
anything.
This is dangerous because it allows these people to think that their actions have no
consequences and there are hundreds if not thousands of families and children that like to visit
woodland Park all summer all fall and pretty much any season as I'm sure you know.
My toddler discovered this because he likes to climb on the trees and do typical toddler
things.
How is the city council and the mayor going to approach this situation and there needs to be a
direct line to where we can report homeless encampments and things like this.
This is absolutely disgusting not just for the residents of Kalispell but also for the people
visiting and as you know we see a huge influx of tourism every summer.
I'll include the pictures and my phone number as well in case anybody would like to reach out
but this is absolutely disgusting and needs to be removed immediately.
