UPDATE (9/16/2025)
On 9/15/2025, Brian D Werner, 53, of Kalispell was arrested and taken into custody in Portland,
OR. Werner will be extradited to Flathead County to face felony charges for Criminal
Endangerment and Criminal Mischief. Werner was booked into Multnomah County Jail and is
facing additional charges of DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Report a Damage Accident.

The Kalispell Police Department has obtained a felony arrest warrant for 53-year-old Brian
Werner of Kalispell,wanted in connection with multiple incidents of gunfire and Criminal
Mischief reported Sunday evening and into the early morning hours of Monday, September
8, 2025.
Werner is suspected of vandalizing more than 20 vehicles,slashing tires,and discharging a
firearm multiple times in populated areas of Kalispell between late Sunday night and early
Monday morning.At least two buildings,and one vehicle were struck by gunfire.
Fortunately,no injuries have been reported.
KPD officers worked diligently for two days to identify Werner and secure an arrest
warrant.Through extensive investigation,detectives executed multiple search warrants,
reviewed hours of surveillance footage,collected DNA evidence,and seized a vehicle along
with numerous firearms.
Werner has not yet been located and may have left the area. Anyone with information on
his whereabouts,or who may have witnessed these incidents,is urged to contact the

The Kalispell Police Department took several reports last night of gunshots
being fired throughout the downtown area and South end of Kalispell. We
have not received any reports of injuries or property damage. We have not
had any victims contact law enforcement. We are actively following up on
several leads to identify a person of interest. We have no information to
suggest the situation is ongoing and KPD will update if more information
becomes available.
