Helicopter Operations at Kalispell City Airport -- FINAL
Here are the procedures for operating helicopters out of S27. This
document is intended primarily for the dispatchers in KIC but anyone
that might be assigned as a manager for a Call-When-Needed helicopter
also needs to be aware of this. Ideally, we'll use S27 as a transitory
landing area to "marry up" the helicopter with the manager and module,
and then move them off-site to whatever incident they are assigned to;
if we end up working out of the airport for more than a day or two (like
we did with the Baldy Fire in 2009) or as an overnight parking area,
we'll need to coordinate closely with both the Airport Manager and the
FBO (Red Eagle Aviation). If you have any questions, please give me a
call.
