This addendum modifies the Contract Documents, Specifications and Construction Drawings for the
Emerging Contaminant PFAS – Water Main Improvements – 2025 project in Kalispell, Montana, as set
forth herein:
CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS
1. SECTION 00100 INVITATION TO BID
Revise the following paragraph to read:
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers First Floor Conference Room,
201 First Avenue East, Kalispell, Montana 59901 at 9:00 am 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 19th,
2025. Interested Bidders are encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting.
2. SECTION 00300 – BID SHEET
Add the following bid item for the Schedule One bid sheet:

4. SECTION 00905 – SPECIAL PROVISION #4
Add the following language:
The Contractor must contact the Asbestos Control Program and maintain compliance with State
laws. Montana DEQ must receive an asbestos project permit application five to ten working days
prior to the start date of the job. Contractor shall provide a certified asbestos abatement contractor
as required at no additional cost to the owner.

1. SHEET C1-3
A 24-inch Gate Valve has been added to the contract at station 5+01.8 of the Tank Piping
Plan and Profile.
The gate valve at this location shall be provided to meet the requirements of Section 02660,
Part 2.8 except this location shall be provided with a standard nut operator without gearing.
The valve box at this location must be provided with an operator extension. The extension
shall be a solid steel bar, with a 2” ductile iron square nut, black powder epoxy coating, a
minimum of two (2) centering donuts, and set screws to secure the extension to the valve nut.
The changes are depicted on the attached Sheet C1-3.
