Police Officer Confirmations Haworth Quinn WelchonsREPORT TO: FROM: SUBJECT: t'll'V fIM KALISPELL POLICE DEPARTMENT 312 1- Ave East — PO Box 1997 — Kalispell, MT 59903 Striving to Exceed Expectations' Doug Russell, City Manager Jordan Venezio, Chief of Police Police Officer Confirmation of Officer Josh Welchons, Officer Jonah Quinn and Officer Troy Haworth MEETING DATE: August 18, 2025 BACKGROUND: Police Officers Josh Welchons, Troy Haworth and Jonah Quinn have all met the requirements to be confirmed as police officers in the city of Kalispell. Officers Welchons and Haworth both attended the Montana Law Enforcement Academy, passed the Kalispell Police Department Field Training Officer (FTO) program and have successfully completed the one-year probationary period as required. Both were brand new to law enforcement but have shown the dedication and character traits required to have a long career. Officer Quinn joined KPD from the Stockton Police Department in California, where he served for 5 years. He is a United States Marine Corp veteran and returned to Montana where he has childhood roots. He attended the Lateral Academy in Helena, KPD's Lateral FTO program, and has successfully completed the one-year probationary period. All three officers have proven to be valuable teammates and we are proud to have them serving in our department. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Council confirm Officers Jonah Quinn, Troy Haworth and Josh Welchons as Police Officers with the Kalispell Police Department. JORDAN VENEZIO, CHIEF OF POLICE
