Kalispell, Montana — Today at approximately 2:08 PM, the Kalispell Police Department, Kalispell
Fire Department, and multiple assisting agencies responded to a plane crash at Kalispell City
Police officers and fire crews acted quickly to contain and extinguish the blaze, preventing
further damage.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a single aircraft with four occupants attempted to land
at Kalispell City Airport when the pilot lost control, crashing onto the runway. The aircraft then
struck several parked airplanes, igniting fires on multiple planes.
All four occupants of the aircraft, who were from out of state, reported only minor injuries and
were treated at the scene. No additional injuries have been reported.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB)
have been notified and will assume responsibility for the investigation to determine the cause
of the crash.
