BACKGROUND: Kalispell Fire participated in the 19th annual A.L.E.R.T. Betty Woods Grant for
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies. Grants were awarded recently during a ceremony at
the Alert/Betty Woods Fundraising Golf Tournament held at Village Greens golf course. KFD
received $1,600.00 in grant funding for additional sizes of neonatal restraints for the ambulance to
allow babies to be transported safely and securely. The medical equipment will become the property
of the City of Kalispell Fire Department. Several other regional EMS agencies also received
monetary awards.
ACTION REQUESTED: Accept the grant from the A.L.E.R.T/Betty Woods Foundation.
FISCAL EFFECTS: There will be no financial responsibility to the City of Kalispell.
