Re: Call for Special Meeting
Meeting Date: August 4, 2025
BACKGROUND: Council meetings where action is taken occur on the first and third meetings
of the month. However, a special meeting can be called by the Council to allow for business to
be conducted at alternate meetings. To aid in the transition of the City Manager position, it is
recommended that Council set a special meeting for Monday, August 11, 2025, at 7:00pm, to
consider the following items of business:
1) Selection of a Recruiting Firm for the City Manager recruitment
2) Selection of an Interim City Manager
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact in setting a special meeting to conduct business.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council move to schedule a Special
Meeting for Monday, August 11, 2025, at 7:00pm to select a recruitment firm for the City
Manager recruitment and to select an Interim City Manager.
