To the members of the Kalispell City Council,
To add yet another casino to our already sadly downtrodden town has me baffled as to what the
planning commission is thinking.
Yes, Kalispell is in desperate need of restaurants (not chains) that offer great food, as we are sorely
lacking in that area.
Allowing a casino on Main Street, where we already have a lack of attraction, will further suppress
the public from shopping/walking
in that area. Perhaps the council might visit the many casinos in the area and determine if they are
comfortable with the appearance
and the overall perception of the establishments. Do we want to be walking by, or have our children
walking by these types of
businesses on our Main Street, the pride of our city? Have we given up on having Main Street be the
showcase, with great shops and
restaurants welcoming our citizens and visitors with a feeling of safety and distinction?
There are so many casinos within a short distance that adding another one to our MAIN STREET no
less, is
not what our city, our Main Street needs.
A great restaurant, absolutely, another casino, NO. Please do not approve this project.
Thank you,
Mary Ann Lavelle
