Box 1997 Kalispell, Montana 59903-1997 (406) 758-7715 Fax (406) 758-7719 REPORT TO: Doug Russell, City Manager FROM: Chad Fincher, Director of Parks & Recreation SUBJECT: Amendment to Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks LWCF Agreement MEETING DATE: June 2, 2025 BACKGROUND: The Kalispell Parks and Recreation Department successfully secured a grant amendment from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks through the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) in the amount of $126,362.20. These additional funds will support key improvements originally outlined in the 2022 LWCF grant, which were deferred due to inflation- related cost increases. Matching funds for this project have been included in the proposed FY26 Aquatics Division budget. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended the City Council move to authorize the City Manager to enter into the grant agreement amendment with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. FISCAL EFFECTS: An additional $126,362.20 for aquatic facility improvements. ATTACHMENT: LWCF Agreement No. 30-00776 Amendment No. 2
