RE: KCA Master PlanJeff:
Why not try FVCC for a starter, it would be neutral grounds for the
kickoff meeting. I would plan on 50 attendance at least. If we plan
for at least 100 and 20 show up, we will know what to do the next time.
We should plan on one of the meeting being at the airport, but only in
nice weather, not during winter. Other than that, the agenda looks good
to me. Call me to meet. I will be out next week on Monday for sure and
then to Lewistown for the MCAA Fall meeting on Thursday afternoon thru
Saturday.

Fred,
I have tentatively scheduled the first public meeting for the Master
Plan Update for Wednesday, September 22nd. I will be working up an
agenda for the meeting in the next couple of weeks. The first meeting
will be a "Kick-Off" meeting. Stelling will conduct a presentation
which will likely cover the following topics:
- Introductions
- Purpose of the Master Plan Update
- History of planning at the airport
- FAA requirements for the Master Plan
- Additional planning performed by Stelling or the City to
complement the Federal requirements
- Master Plan Schedule
- Sections of the Master Plan Document (outline)
- Key activities performed for the Master Plan (forecasts,
noise, surveys, etc.)
- Public Outreach Program
- Review existing airport facilities
The meeting format for this meeting will likely be a 1 hour presentation
with either a follow-up question and answer session or an informal open
house. The open house would allow the individuals to stay after the
meeting and discuss the project or process in more depth with the
Stelling or the City. We should discuss what everyone's preference soon
so we can advertise accordingly.
Any suggestions on a suitable meeting location? I'm not sure what the
attendance would be? Should we plan for 30 people? 40? 50?
Do you have any availability this week to get together and discuss these
items?
Thanks

This sounds fine with us. Please let us know if you confirm this and as
soon as possible so we can put it on the City calendar of events on the

Fred,
Quick question; will September 22, 2010 (Wednesday) work for a public
meeting on the Master Plan Update. This would be an evening meeting,
location to be decided, to begin the Master Planning process. Meeting
would be conducted by Stelling (Mitch and Jeff). We would advertise the
location and time. Goal would to discuss the process and goals and
allow public discussion on the process. We would not discuss too many
details about the airport however; that would be premature. Let me know
if the time and day works for you.
Also, I found out the acoustical counter has been delayed and wont be
here until right after labor day. They were backordered on a part. We
will get it going as soon as we can.
Have a good weekend.
