Board members present: Kisa Davison, Gabe Mariman, George Giavasis, Cara Lemire,
Nihcole Petersen, and Jamie Keller, Executive Director
Board members absent: Jon Fetveit
Public in Attendance: Loraine Clarno and Nelson Loring
Call to Order: 8:35am — Kisa Davison
Public Comment:
• Nelson Loring noted the city is actively working on the Safe Streets for All Raise
Grant totaling $25 million dollars with a deadline for June 2025 to begin working on
the Main Street revision.
• Nelson Loring noted the city is expecting a response by the end of June for the Build
Grant which will assist with the bypass work.
• A discussion took place concerning the Friday night downtown traffic in relation to
the reckless driving in relation to concern for downtown commerce. Several board
members hope to meet with KPD to potentially discuss unlawful activity and
solutions on enforcement.
• Anew downtown coffee shop and bakery called Billy & Byrd has arrived on Main
Street next to the new Princess & Buck.

Motion: A motion to approve was made by George Giavasis and seconded by
Cara Lemire. Motion carried.
Financial Review:
• Review and Approval
Motion: A motion to approve was made by George Giavasis and seconded by
Marshall Noice. Motion carried.
• Jamie Keller noted the proposed budget for FY25/26 is complete and under
review by Kisa Davison. The board will receive the budget for vote via email.
• Jamie Keller noted concerns with the current policy covering the golf carts and
plans to request quotes for new coverages. Cara Lemire has offered to assist.
Facade Improvement Grants:
• No new applications at this time
Branding & Marketing:
• Jamie Keller noted the website is in good shape and social media is beginning to
increase with content given the new programs and events.
• Jamie Keller noted that she is preparing for the upcoming renewal and will be
sending the petition to the city in the coming weeks.
Downtown Ambassador:
• A meeting is scheduled with city manager, Doug Russel to discuss the possibility of
having the ambassador become a seasonal employee with the Parks & Recreation
division for the City of Kalispell.
Downtown Flowers:
• Jamie Keller noted the pole banner project is still on hold as she is waiting on Public
Works to evaluate and follow up with information.
• Jamie Keller noted that we are $500 over budget and Discover Kalispell has offered
to help cover the deficit. An invoice has been prepared.
Downtown Events & Sponsorships:
• Jamie Keller noted Ladies Night on May 8t" from 4-8pm in Downtown Kalispell
• Jamie Keller noted the upcoming KBID Coffee Connect Event on May 9t" at Bias
Brewing from 8-9:30am. Jamie also noted that Glacier Bank has filly sponsored the
event this year and an invoice has been prepared.
• Jamie Keller noted the Downtown Kalispell Cleanup Day event on May 17' from 8-
10am and encouraged board members to get out and help clean, shake hands with
constituents and stakeholders, and answer questions about the new fagade
improvement program. More to come via email.
Chamber of Commerce:
• Growth Summit on May 8t"
• Elections will open for City Council and Mayor on April 17t"
• Vote: School Levy on May 6t"
New Fagade Improvement Program:
• Jamie Keller noted that the program announcement postcard has been mailed, and
the brochure printed and ready for distribution.
• Jamie Keller noted that the press release has been written, and the Constant
Contact announcement is ready to launch to coincide with the prepared upcoming
social media announcements beginning in May 2025.
Meeting Adjourned: 10:00am
Motion: A motion was made by Cara Lemire and seconded by Gabe Mariman to
adjourn today's meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
