As a Native of the Flathead and seeing the changes over the past 80+years the recent proposal of
changing the downtown area is the most ludicrous I have heard. Whitefish did this same scenario
several years back...now with the widen sidewalks a pedestrian can barely walk the sidewalk in fear of
running into a chair leg or table or worse yet peoples dogs on the leash waiting for me to trip over. I have
stopped shopping Whitefish (my favorite little town)for several years due to this act. I lived therefor 46
years...then to Kalispell, It definitely appears the city officials or board members are not considering the
people that pay taxes, their wages,etc. only for those out of state people who use our services all
free.....the redesign of the Main street is not in the best interest of we, the People. LEAVE ITALONE! The
next order of business is to take down our famous Courthouse and then you might see a riot. LEAVE IT
ALONE!!! Please, I beg of you, city Officials rethink this major proposal. Use the money for resurfacing a
few streets and adding a few more Law Enforcement to keep our city safe, we dont want to be among the
statistics....PLEASE PLEASE...Thank you for your consideration. Keep up the good work for Kalispell„
