changed their small downtowns 45 yrs ago for unprecedented growth
Kalispell had wide sidewalks in the 80's and they were removed.
In 80's we drove 2 lanes around County Hall including campers &trucks.
Today, will street car racing and revving be safe w no curbs, clearly marking the foot traffic areas? The
attitude of skid marks spinning out speed and noise downtown needs to go! Out law it.
Ramp walkway ends are very inclusive for all and is a plus.
What about parking in the middle of street (Ft Collins does this a few blocks) so walkers have
no cars at curbs, emergency vehicles can pull right up.
4 2-lane one way streets in a square around the town square works well, w some of the inner town square
no driving just walk and dine nd rest in a garden cement public area, no cars except access for emergency
& work vehicles.
In all, I would hope this much time can go to a new library with housing above it for employees or low
income families, the elderly. The very wealthy have made it on paying low wages/tax loopholes, so they
are not a worry if they are okay or going to make it bcz they have. Thankful to those who have
contributed to the community as donors.
