Good morning MayorJohnson and member of the council,
I just read this morning's paper, and I am so excited to see that council is taking another look at the US 93 path
between the core of Kalispell and Logan Health! As a longtime resident of Kalispell and one who frequently tries to
go north along the patch of grass and highway shoulder on foot or on bike, I can think of no higher trail priority in
the city than this one. I'd like to bring to your attention other potential funding sources that might help with
construction and long-term maintenance of such a trail. The Parks Division of FWP administers the state-funded
Trails Stewardship Grant and federally funded Recreational Trails Grant Program. Both of these grant sources have
the potential to help fund this project along with the Transportation Alternatives grant mentioned in the article. I
am happy to provide assistance with applying for those grants if this should come to fruition. In the meantime,
here is a link to our web page and some detail about those to grant sources: Ikattips://fiwp.irTat gov/a:Ikbouaitfi lrp/ii'a air t,-
