Please help SD 5 from Tylar Ohlrich1 Judi Funk From:Ty <tyohlrich96@gmail.com> Sent:Thursday, April 3, 2025 7:14 PM To:Kalispell Meetings Public Comment Subject:EXTERNAL Please Help SD5 Hello, I go to school in school district 5 in Kalispell Montana. We are currently at risk of losing our vo-ag center, as well as all of our fine art courses and most elective classes if a levy doesn't pass, despite the surplus of money our state has stored for educational purposes. Losing the opportunity to attend our vo-ag center would further the loss of careers such as welding, agricultural career paths, as well as wood working careers. Our community is heavily built on agriculture and farming, so the vo-ag center is very important to all of us, even those who don't attend. There are so many people who are so very passionate about the opportunities there, and losing it would be like losing a major part of our community. The risk of fine arts, such as pottery, jewelry, band, and choir, being taken from us as well only furthers the distress everyone is enduring. So many people are heavily involved in our fine arts program and it build future careers and scholarships for students as well. We have tried holding parades as well as protesting the shut down of our vo-ag center and fine arts, but the school board will not listen to us and we need larger help advocating for ourselves to keep our communities intact. Thank you, Tylar J Ohlrich
