BACKGROUND: Annually, the city solicits for contractor support for sidewalk and curbing
reconstruction. Project support includes furnishing materials, labor, and equipment required to remove
and replace concrete pavement and curbing. Sidewalk and curbing restoration projects are located
throughout the incorporated limits of the City of Kalispell and work is completed on an as needed basis
with the issuance of work orders.
BIDDING RIESULTS: Bids were received and opened on March 6, 2025, at 3:15 pm. The two
responsive bids that were received are summarized below.

ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to award the Sidewalk and Curbing Ending July 31, 2026, contract to
Sandon Construction.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The projects, depending on their scope, will be funded by several funds within FY
25 & FY 26 budget allocations that are necessary to perform sidewalk, ADA, curb and gutter, and other
related concrete work. Funds include Gas Tax - Sidewalk and Curb Construction, Water Fund — Contract
Services, Storm Fund — Curb and Gutter and Stormwater Corrections, Street Fund — Pavement Repairs
and Special Warranty Fund.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested and approved by the City Council.
