01-21-25 Conrad Mansion Museum MinutesConrad Mansion Museum Board of Directors January 21, 2025 - 4:00-5:00 p.m. Chamber of Commerce 1. Welcome- Members present: Diane Medler, Susanne Wigginton, Everit Sliter, Chris Vick, Cate Webber, Mary Pat Murphy, Natalie Robinson, Teri Iwerson, Diane Stout, Carrie Nelson, and Museum Director Brit Clark. 2. Consent agenda - a) December minutes- Approved as submitted. b) Treasurer's report for December 2024- Everit shared a few adjustments that would be made before the final year end reports. (Inventory would be updated; endowment and depreciation would be finalized. Chris made a motion to accept financials as presented. Cate seconded. All in favor. 3. Executive Director's Report - a) See attached report. • The short documentary style video by Big Cedar Media will be done in a few weeks. • School tours- A letter has been sent to all schools letting teachers know school tours can be scheduled throughout the year. This will alleviate crowded scheduling that happens in May. • National History Day- Kalispell Regional competition will be held Feb. 81" at FVCC. Can sign up to volunteer orjudge on NHD in MT link. • Timing of Room Sponsorships will be part of next month's agenda. 4. Committee Reports - a) Facilities • Cate presented the Conrad Mansion Annex design schematics (1/10/25) from Jackola. Some "windows' on the exterior will be for appearance only (like the storage room.) Heating and HVAC has not been included yet. 0 The carriage house will remain as it is. The Garden shed will be moved. • Mary Pat moved to approve the floor plan in the schematics. Susanne seconded. All in favor. b) Finance Committee -2025 Budget • Summer Tour Admission— Proposed budget includes an increase in admission for Adult/Senior/Youth. After discussion, it was proposed to streamline categories. Everit made a motion to remove the Senior rate category and raise the rate on Adult and Youth categories by $1.00. Chris seconded. With comments for a second proposal emerging, Everit called the question to close out discussion on this proposal. Motion did not pass (unanimously). Following more discussion, Susanne made a motion to charge the following rates, Everit seconded. JUNE-JULY-AUG SEP- MAY DOCENT $25 Adult (18+) 1 $15 Youth (age 5-17) $20 Adult $10 Youth SELF GUIDED $20 Adult 1 $10 Youth $15 Adult $5 Youth • All in favor. This admission price motion passes. Brit will adjust budgeted regular tour income. • Inventory reflects order for extra copies of Half Interest in Silver Dollar. The gift shop will have enough copies of this for a couple of years. • Everit made a motion to increase Joni and Roberts salary $1/hour. Mary Pat seconded. All in favor of the $1/hour raise. (Before the vote, Chris brought up sticking with a 3% raise, but after brief discussion, was in favor of the $1/hour amount.) • Chris moved to approve the budget with the tour income adjustment, but shortly afterwards withdrew the motion.
