We are recommending and requesting their confirmations as Patrol Officers. Officer McKinnon came to us after serving in the United States Marine Corp. Officer McKinnon has shown himself to be a quick learner, a great teammate and hard worker. He adapts quickly and has become a reliable and valuable member of our team here at KPD. Officer Praetzel came to us from Youth with a Mission (YWAM) and has been an excellent asset to our police department. Officer Praetzel sought this profession through his desire to serve his community and to live a life with purpose. This is evident in the way he carries out his duties with strong character and integrity. We are grateful to have added Officer Praetzel to our ranks. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Council confirm both Officer Connor McKinnon and Officer Matthew Praetzel as Police Officers with the Kalispell Police Department.
