Subject: EXTERNAL Homelessness in Kalispell
Good afternoon Mayor Johnson and council members:
I just finished reading the following article about homelessness in Kalispell and how you treat unhoused
residents of your city.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/montana-town-waging-war-unhoused-150001236.html
I must say, I've obviously noticed the uptick in callousness and cruelty in our society in the years since
this apricot anti-Christ that currently resides in the White House has been on the national scene. I have
witnessed this trend with sadness and disgust.
However, I didn't think any of this had the ability to shock me anymore. I was wrong. The details I've just
read about your attitudes and actions toward your unhoused residents have shocked me to the core. I
once thought that people abandoning their humanity so completely was a relic of a bygone age, for
people like slave traders or the Nazi concentration camp guards who completely dehumanized their
victims and referred to them as vermin.
But all of you, Mr. Mayor and council members, fall into the exact same category as these horrible people
from history. You are all evil and wicked people. You should be utterly ashamed of yourselves.
For all your indifference toward mental illness, I truly think it's likely that you are suffering from some
extreme form of mental sickness. You should consider getting help. While I'm not a mental health
professional, I have to suspect that engaging in hostile rhetoric that results in a gang of nazi youth
beating a man to death in a parking lot and then simply shrugging when confronted with the
consequences of your actions is a sign of some kind of dangerous psychopathy. I fear for the residents of
Kalispell with people like you in charge of it.
Things like compassion and mercy for your fellow human beings are simply a part of what makes us
human -- at least that is the case for us normal humans. But these things are also what are commanded
of us by the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ-- helping the poor, comforting the afflicted, caring for the
members of our society that he referred to as "the least of these". If this was not the lesson that you
learned in childhood from Sunday school, then what kind of screwed up prosperity gospel nonsense
church were your families a part of?
Even worse, the impression I am getting is that homelessness in your city, like in most cities, is the result
of unchecked property speculation, predatory landlords, wealthy outsiders pushing your local residents
out of affordable housing, and other problems that are generally the result of the evil greedy bastards in
1
power and beyond the control of the people who end up becoming homeless. So tell me, which
particular greedy bastards and predatory landlords have all of you in your pockets?
Again, you should ALL be ASHAMED of yourselves.
As demonstrated by the fact that The Guardian, a prominent BRITISH newspaper, did such an extensively
researched article about some little shithole town in the backwoods of Montana, the crimes of those in
positions of power against the citizens they are supposed to serve no longer happen in isolation or go
unnoticed. The world is watching. The world is bearing witness to your cruelty.
You, ladies and gentlemen, are on the wrong side of history. And the people at that warming shelter
you're persecuting and the lawyers who are fighting you and the judges who seem to be calling you out on
your bullshit"legal arguments" are all American heroes.
Rega rd,
Michael
