SUBJECT: Bid Award for Police Evidence Building
MEETING DATE: January 21, 2025
BACKGROUND: The Police Department is remodeling 306 1st Ave E, which
previously housed the Parks and Recreation Department to accommodate evidence
storage and Detective office space. This project was previously approved by Kalispell
City Council and funded by Downtown Tax Increment Financing (TIF).
The City advertised an invitation for bids for the remodel.
The following bids were received in response to the published Invitation for Bids:

Precision Builders
Camas Creek Contractors

Copper Mountain Builders was the low bid but failed to use Montana Prevailing Wages
in their bid.
ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to award the bid for the remodel of 306 1" Ave E to
Precision Builders in the amount of $250,000.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The cost for the remodel is set to be funded by the Downtown TIF
2188-480-470230-720funds.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested and approved by the City Council.
