RE: Appointment to the City -County Board of Health
BACKGROUND: The Flathead City -County Board of Health generally supervises the City -
County Health Department with specific functions, powers, and duties as set forth in Montana
Code Annotated Title 50, Chapter 2. Membership of the board based on State Law and Interlocal
Agreement shall include one person appointed by the governing body of each city that
participates. The three-year City of Kalispell appointee term expires December 31, 2024.
The Flathead Ci . -County Board of Health meets the third Thursday of the month from 1 to 3
p.m. in the Earl Bennett Building.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that Mayor Johnson appoint, with the
confirmation of Council, an elected official or other designee as the city representative on the
Flathead City -County Board of Health.
