Subject: EXTERNAL Opposition to Tronstad Meadows Whitetail Crossing Development
I am unable to attend the public hearing this evening regarding the proposed residential development on Tronstad;
however, I believe it is vital for the City Council to listen and consider the voices of its citizens and so I offer this short
email.
I strongly oppose the high-density housing, and the Developer's recent resubmission of the proposal with only a slightly
altered number of permitted housing which does nothing to make the development more desirable nor does it alleviate
the already articulated concerns voiced by those individuals affected by the proposal. Not only will the development
decimate the local landscape, but the larger and more concerning issue is the lack of infrastructure in place to support
the sheer number of homes proposed.The area is simply unprepared to handle such high density housing.
Growth is not always negative; however, it would seem the City has yet to demonstrate how the proposed development
will benefit its citizens. Heed the voices of the people whom the City is tasked with representing & resist the urge to
approve the development.
Sincerely,
Michele Sparkman
