Subject: EXTERNAL Tronstad Meadows subdivision
Hello,
I am a mother of two small children here in Kalispell. We live just off of Tronstad and I want to
raise my concerns regarding the proposed sub division.
My main concerns are regarding Tronstad road itself and the intersection of Tronstad and 93.
Tronstad road is a small country road that is not even well equipped to handle the traffic that it
gets now. Last winter, the road was littered with accidents and cars that slid off in ice and snow.
Adding another 355 homes on that small road is a recipe for disaster as it pertains to the safety
of our community.
Similarly, the intersection of Tronstad and 93 is already a nightmare. With Silverbrook traffic,
the apartment traffic and the new subdivision on Tronstad that went in last year, the
congestion is already a problem. I see accidents and near misses almost daily.
I understand the need for affordable housing, but slamming all of these planned communities
right on top of each other is not right for our residents.
I ask that you please consider the safety of our residents first, and vote no on adding more
subdivisions on Tronstad.
Thank you,
Danielle McKinley
