Tronstad Meadows, Whitetail Crossing Development Public Comment from Jill Lamb I0-27-2024
Kalispell City Council Members,
I am writting this letter to you as a concerned citizen, homeowner and taxpayer' My
concern is the
Tronstad Meadows, Whitetail Crossing /TMW[\ development.
I live on Tronstad Lane' My only entrance and exit from my home is to Tronstad Rd'
This requires extreme
caution as I live at the top of the major blind hill' Driving into and out of my
road requires me
to be aware of the vehicles coming in both directions, as both east and west
bounders are excelerating to get
to Hwy 93 or Whitefish Stage Rd' The next hazard is when I choose to go east or
west' West takes me to Hwy 93
where I'm required to turn right only, then making a left from the highway while
traffic is speeding along
and my concern then becomes the traffic behind me' So I may choose to go Whitefish
Stage route' I then
deal with the traffic coming from the north, also a blind hill as you can not see
the vehicle until
they come over that hill' Also this corner is very narrow, with a ditch on its
south west corner' These concerns
have been mentioned, discussed and worried about at length' Please don't disregard
this as whinning or exaggeration,
this is truth' I do believe that the City of Kalispell would prioritize creating
safe and efficient
infrastucture as this community continues to grow new developments'
After hearing so many citizens speak up and reading letters written on-line, there
is no need to re-hash, re-speak
repeat all that has been brought forward' These concerns are valid and I support
these concerns'
Development is happening' No one denies this fact, and very few people are asking
for no development' We are
asking this board to carefully consider all concerns from the homeowners, taxpayer
and citizens of this community.
The Flathead Valley is counting on sound judgement and responsible decision making
from the City Council members
and officials'
I respectfully ask that you deny this developer from going forward unless the
safety issues and adequate infrastucture
is in place' We can not afford any developments, especially one this large, to go
forward without ensuring
it be done safely and efficiently' Thank you.
