Meeting called to Order at 8:14am by Bill Goodman.

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF APRIL 29, 2010. Moved by Marsahll, second by Melanie.

COORDINATOR'S UPDATE

SIGNAGE:
Pam was asked to call Jim Lynch and discuss the possibility of permanent signage over Main St., and
the lamp post signage.
Review of the Budget 2010-2011.
Discussion of Ad Sales for the Walking Tour Brochure. Sent to Walking Tour Brochure committee.
DISCUSSION AND ACTION ADVERTISING POLICY:
Advertising Committee was formed : Marshal and Tim.
NEW BUSINESS:
Marshall brought forth the idea of a poster in every window downtown. Sent to newly formed ad
committee.
Next meeting: KB Bar & Grill at 12:OOpm May 20.

FINANCE — Met with the city to discuss the budget. See preliminary budget to be
handed out at the meeting
Downtown Development —
Working on Downtown Days — advertising, posters
Working with staffing company to hire summer employee
Meetings re: BID issues
Met with Jane Howington and discussed
• Signage
• Cleaning downtown — our employee and garbage pickup
• Requested Main Street to be swept
• Checked on Thursday!Fest permit with the city
Thursday!Fest
Received permit from MDOT to close 3rd St. E. for the festival
DOWNTOWN DAYS — CANADIAN DAYS — May 22, 23, 24
Continue to meet with Business community and KDA members regarding advertising
and coordination.
NEW DOWNTOWN EVENTS
Met and discussed "Taste of Kalispell' with the new owner of the event. It will be held
on Saturday, August 7 on the lawn of Central School Museum and will benefit the
Museum
COMMUNICATION/COORDINATION
Met with Chamber committee members to discuss common issues. Chamber united the
downtown committee with the tourism committee. Discussed need to coordinate with the
newly formed TBID. They hope to hire a coordinator by mid June.
Spoke to the Pachyderm membership about downtown.
