Approval of Minutes: Mark moved to approve the July 9, 2024, minutes; Shawn 2nd; approved (6-0).
New Business: Signs: 1st & Main – 101 S Main – news signs and paint - Kari presented renderings and
Daniel from Western Neon advised the committee on materials. The consensus of
committee was that the directory sign was not consistent with the 3 other signs on
the north side of the building. John motioned to conditionally approve the pain
and signs with the conditions that the fonts on the directory sign be the same and
move the upper portion signage to the corner location with a black background.
Shawn 2nd; approved (6-0).
Duhs Building (Calbrick Block) – 221 S Main – wall signs – Kari and business
owner Tanner Brown presented renderings. Tanner advised the committee that the
logo on the sign would not be in color and that there would be no white on it. The
material would be black or distressed metal on a wood background. The
committee agreed that there are too many assumptions in the renderings. Mark
moved to have the applicant email a final version that is more accurately depicted
on the building to Kari who will email the committee to either vote on or bring
through ARC again for discussion; Lincoln 2nd, approved (6-0).
Tenth & Main – 1001 S Main – freestanding sign – Daniel from Western Neon
presented renderings for a double sided sign. The committee like the design and
material.
Buildings: Mountain West Plastic Surgery Center & Med Spa – 168 Timberwolf Pkwy –
new commercial building – Shawn Paulie recused himself. Eric Haffeman
presented materials and renderings. Eric advised the committee that the trash
enclosure will be screened with landscaping. The committee liked the utility
screening. Kari clarifiedwith Eric that there would be no overnight stays in the
facility.
