MEETING: September 16, 2024
BACKGROUND: FY 25 budget allocated funds in the Street Division to replace the aged 21-
year-old Single Axle Truck and plow. The procurement scope to replace the equipment included
the purchase of one new Single Axle Truck Chassis with 6-yard Asphalt Dump Box and Plow.
Bids were opened on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Out of the two (2) prospective companies who obtained bid packets, two (2) responsive bids
were received as listed below.

Missoula IState Truck Center's bid met the minimum acceptable specifications and provided the
lowest purchase price.
ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to award the bid for a new Single Axle Truck Chassis with 6-
yard Asphalt Dump Box and Plow to Missoula IState Truck Center in the amount of
$205,706.24.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The purchase of the new Single Axle Truck Chassis with 6-yard Asphalt
Dump Box and Plow will be funded by the Special Street Fund line item 2500-421-430245-940:
Machinery & Equipment: Single Axle 6 Yard Dump Truck with I F Plow. A total of $210,000
was budgeted in FY 25 for the purchase of the new equipment and attachment.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested and approved by the City Council.
