MEETING: September 16, 2024
BACKGROUND: FY 25 Budget allocated funds in the Street Division to purchase a new
Tandem Axle Truck to support seasonal operations including leaf collection, winter plowing, and
summer pavement maintenance. The procurement scope included the purchase of one new
Tandem Axle Truck Chassis with 12-yard Asphalt Dump Box and Plow. Bids were opened on
Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Out of the two (2) prospective companies who obtained bid packets, two (2) responsive bids
were received as listed below.

Missoula Peterbilt bid met the minimum acceptable specifications and provided the lowest
purchase price.
ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to award the bid for a new Tandem Axle Truck Chassis with
12-yard Asphalt Dump Box and Plow to Missoula Peterbilt in the amount of $242,595.00.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The purchase of the new Tandem Axle Truck Chassis with 12-yard
Asphalt Dump Box and Plow will be funded by the Special Street Fund line item 2500-421-
430245-940: Machinery & Equipment: Tandem Axle 12 Yard Dump Truck with I F Plow. A
total of $250,000 was budgeted in FY 25 for the purchase of the equipment and attachments.
