SUBJECT: Bid Recommendation for a new Front -End Wheel Loader with 3.5 Yard Bucket, a
2 Yard Leaf Grabber, and V-Plow Wing Combo.
MEETING: September 16, 2024
BACKGROUND: FY 25 budget allocated funds in the Street Division to replace the aged 24-
year-old Front -End Wheel Loader. The procurement scope to replace the equipment included the
purchase of one new Front -End Wheel Loader with 3.5 Yard Bucket, a 2 Yard Leaf Grabber, and
V-Plow Wing Combo. Bids were opened on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Out of the four (4) prospective companies who obtained bid packets four (4) responsive bid's
were received as listed below.

2. Bid Schedule #2 includes the cost with the trade in value of the 2000 Front Loader
Torgerson's Equipment bid met the minimum acceptable specifications and provided the lowest
purchase price.
ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to award bid Schedule 92 for a new Front -End Wheel Loader
with 3.5 Yard Bucket, a 2 Yard Leaf Grabber, and V-Plow Wing Combo, to Torgerson's
Equipment in the amount of $274,778.00.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The purchase will be funded by the Special Street Fund line item 2500-
421-430245-940: Machinery & Equipment, new Front -End Wheel Loader with 3.5 Yard Bucket,
a 2 Yard Leaf Grabber, and V-Plow Wing Combo. A total of $340,000 was budgeted in FY 25
for the purchase of the new equipment and attachments.
