Subject: EXTERNAL Kalispell city road noise
Dear Women and Men of the Kalispell City Council and KPD,
have lived in the Kalispell city for 34 years and have noticed an
increase in city noise, especially on Friday nights. It seemed to start
during Covid with Kruise Kalispell, which initially was a great way to get
out during the pandemic. The last 3 years it's been exceptionally
noisy. It's the revving of engines, the squelling of tires, burning rubber
and speeding. The vehicles and motorcycles are not just on Main
Street, but branching out into the neighborhoods. It's implicitly
threatening flying flags that say "F—k Biden." It doesn't stop at 10pm,
but keeps me awake sometimes until midnight. It does keep me from
shopping Main Street, eating at Main Street restaurants and driving
Main Street. It's embarrassing to visiting family and friends.
Is there a noise curfew in Kalispell and what are the acceptable decibel
noise levels?
I've been very proud of Kalispell in the past, but this has gotten out of
control.
appreciate your time and I have hope that something can be done
about this.
