WHEREAS, the assessment cost of the Special Maintenance District 41 for the fiscal year 2024- 2025 is estimated to be $3,400,000.00, and WHEREAS, at a public hearing held on the 1 st day of July 2024, the City Council did consider all objections made to said estimate and to the basis of the levy and assessment for payment for said cost. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA: SECTION 1. That the cost of expenses of maintaining the streets, avenues, alleys and public roads and the costs of traffic sign and signal maintenance shall be * assessed against each lot or parcel with the Special Maintenance District No. 1 as set out in Ordinance 1475. The rates for 2024-2025 are as follows: Category 1. (Residential) $0.020442/sq.ft. Vacant land up to 2 acres Vacant land over 2 acres $1,781 maximum Category 2. $0.020442/sq.ft. Residential land up to''/2 acre Residential land over acre $445 maximum Category 3. $0.030160/sq.ft. Commercial (non residential) up to 90% covered Category 4. $0.031783/sq.ft. Commercial 100% covered Public and private parklands, as defined by Kalispell City Code 23-2-13, and cemeteries shall be exempt from the assessment.
