02-14-782-14-78 The regular meeting of the Kalispell City -County Planning Board was held Tuesday, February 14, 1978 at 7:30 p.m. in the Flathead County Courthouse East, 723 5th. Avenue East, Kalispell, Montana, Cafeteria. Members Present.: Others Present: Jay Shropshire 2 APO Staff Representatives Walt Griffin Steve Petrini Dale W. Haarr Jim Mohn W. J. Lupton 4 Guests Harvey Knebel Fran 011endike ...Dorothy Garvin Ray Lybeck Garmen Meadows The meeting was called to order by President Dale Haarr at 7:42 p.m. Minutes of 1-24-78 President Dale Haarr asked if there were any additions or Approved. corrections to the minutes of the January 24, 1978 Minutes. Fran 011endike moved that the minutes be approved as mailed; seconded by Dorothy Garvin: motion carried. Proposed Public Jim Mohn passed out three subdivision proposals, which will be Hearings for 2-28-78. up for public hearing on February 28, 1978• 2nd. Addn to Lapp Addn. LaSalle Ind. Center Dale Haarr suggested th ree members be specifically assigned Kookoosint Village #2 & to each proposed development. The Board felt this was a good Master Plan idea. Dale then appointed the following: Dorothy Garvin, Fran 011endike, Harvey Knebel (2nd. Addn. to Lapp Addn.) B.J. Lupton, Dale Haarr, Ray Lybeck (LaSalle Industrial Center) Walt Griffin, Garmen Meadows, Jay Shropshire (Kookoosint Village #2) Video Presentation A video presentation on the concept of Planned Unit Development "Planned Unit Develop.", versus traditional zoning was shown. Park Board: "Parks" Dale Haarr then explained why the Park Board was invited to attend this meeting. He stated that the Planning Board was concerned about what policy the Park Board followed in determining Park dedication or cash -in -lieu. Vern Mauri.tzen then explained the Park Boards' present views on proposed development. They consider density, type of proposed development and surrounding area; proximity of existing parks and their size. Sam Bibler stated that the Park Board felt that park land either public or private was more valuable for the future than cash taken now. Their being no further business to come before the Board, Ray.
