The regular meeting of the Kalispell City -County Planning
Board was held Tuesday, February 14, 1978 at 7:30 p.m. in the
Flathead County Courthouse East, 723 5th. Avenue East,
Kalispell, Montana, Cafeteria.

The meeting was called to order by President Dale Haarr at
7:42 p.m.

A video presentation on the concept of Planned Unit Development

Park Board: "Parks"
Dale Haarr then explained why the Park Board was invited to
attend this meeting. He stated that the Planning Board was
concerned about what policy the Park Board followed in
determining Park dedication or cash -in -lieu.
Vern Mauri.tzen then explained the Park Boards' present views
on proposed development. They consider density, type of proposed
development and surrounding area; proximity of existing parks
and their size. Sam Bibler stated that the Park Board felt that
park land either public or private was more valuable for the
future than cash taken now.
Their being no further business to come before the Board,
Ray. Lybeck moved that the meeting be adjourned; seconded by
Garmen Meadows: motion carried.
