MEMBERS PRESENT: Corey Johnson (Chairman); Janet Clark; Mark Norley; Russ
Skelton; John Hinchey; Carol Nelson

Guests — Gary Collier (Black Angus/Kalispell Neon); Rose, Terry,
& Daniel Therrien (Radio Shack & Hutton Ranch/Western Neon)

Approval of Minutes: John moved to approve the February 23 minutes; Mark seconded.
Approved 6-0.
Old Business:
Black Angus — 1330 Hwy 2 W; freestanding sign. Suggestion to reduce the casino
wording, and maybe get all of the wording (including Anna's) on one sign. John moved
to table; Janet seconded. Motion to table passed 6-0.
New Business:
Hutton Ranch — Hwy 93 N; adding electronic reader board panels to existing
freestanding signs. Intensity is the main issue. Janet moved to approve; Russ seconded.
Approved 6-0.
Sears — 1105 Hwy 2 W; new wall sign. Replacing old letters with a new cabinet.
Revised plan submitted this morning does not require ARC approval, but can proceed
since it is on the agenda. Carol moved to approve; John seconded. Approved 4-0.
Other Discussion:
Potential Awards Program — Katharine is continuing her research, but is not able to be
here today. She will have a BID meeting later this month which will help shed some light
on things. She was also looking for a point person, but the committee would prefer to
keep the discussion as a group. Discussion included how to deal with potential conflicts
of interest.
Other discussion included the new alternate route; the development at the old Gateway
Mall for United Way, the Food Bank, and other non -profits; and the county "campus."
