The meeting of the Kalispell City -County Planning Board was
called to order by President Fran Leinin9er'at'8:10 p.m.
Minutes. approved..
A motion by Dale Haarr, seconded by Dorthy Garvin approved the
minutes of Ap;r i l `27,1.976 as mailed.
Fetveit.Addition.-
A zoning petition requesting an R-3 zone for the Fetveit
R-3 Zone approved..
Addition and adjacent area was reviewed. Jane Lopp reported
that the proposal conformed to the Comprehensive Plan and
would implement it. Satisfaction with the R-3 Zone proposal
wasexpressed by.residents of the area.
Charles Hash -moved that the Kalispell City -County Planning
Board recommend to the Board of.County Commissioners of
Flathead County that the Fetveit Addition and adjacent.area
be zoned R-3. Seconded by Dorothy Garvin. Motion carried.
\� Conservation
Representatives from the.Conservation District, Herb Koenig,
District &
Robin Street, Lewis Fuller, Jim Treweek.and Oscar Peterson
Soil'Conservation
from the Soil,Conservation Service were introduced.
Service.`
Koenig outlined the responsibility of the Conservation District
Supervisors to conserve land and water and suggested that
the Planning Board develop an agriculture policy. Robin
Street.empfiasized that traffic, dogs, odor, dust and spraying
can create problems and that there needs to be safeguards for
both agriculture and development. Garmen Meadows asked
the Supervisors to prepare an agricultural guideline_: for the
Board to review. Concern was, expressed by Charles Hash that
the Farm Home Administration financing wasin opposition to
agricultural use. A'guideline will be formulated by the
Conservation District for Board review.
Subdivision
Dale Haar presented a Draft Subdivision. Approval'Gutdeline
Approval
for Board discussion. Charles Hash commented that the
Guideline Draft.
important items were reversed and criteria aet forth in
H.B;.666 must be addressed. Discussion of the guideline
will be continued. Also to be considered at a future`meeting
will be Garmen Meadow's question"How can a developer be
held to what he proposes to do?"
There being no further business, Dale Haar moved th-e meeting
adjourn; seconded by Harvey-Knebel; motion carried.
