Tentative Agenda for Hearing January.8, 1976 Preliminary Comprehensive -Plan, A meeting of the Kalispell City -County Planning Board was,he ld on Tuesday, December 23, 1975, at 8 p:m. at the P P & L Service Center. Members present; Dorothy Garvin Dale Wtlltams. Garmen Meadows Fran Leininger Harvey Knebel James J..Thompson Lois Randall Others present: 1 APO Representative 1 News Representative (Glacier Herald) The meeting of the Kalispell City -County Planning Board was'called to order by President Fran Leininger at 8:05 pom. Dale Willt'ams moved that the minutes of December 9, 1975 meeting be approved as mailed; seconded by.James J. Thompson: motion carried. Lois Randall passed out a Tentative Agenda for the upcoming hearing to be conducted by the Kalispell City - County Planning Board on the County Plan. Lois Randall then explained the Tentative Agenda. After some discussion, -it was decided that letters to members of the panel be typed by the Areawide Planning Organization (APO) Staff and signed by President Fran Leininger and that they be mailed as soon as possible. It .was also decided that the news releases were to be drafted by President Fran Leininger and Lois Randall and submitted to the local news media by those two individuals. James J. Thompson moved that the Tentative Agenda, as revi-ewed by the Board and explained by Lois Randall be approved as the hearing Agenda for the public hearing to be conducted, January 8, 1976, by the Kalispell City - County Planning Board. The motion was seconded by Garmen Meadows and carried. (Copy of,-Tentati.ve Agenda attached) A discussion regarding the two prior public hearings then followed. It was suggested that the presentation of the overall plan include the general goals of th.e plan and more specific discussion regarding these goals and how the plan accommodates those goals. It etas also explained that the presentation of the plan should go into more detail regarding what the plan is, what it does, and what can be expected of it. There being no further business to come before the Board, President Fran Leininger declared the meeting adjourned. Adjourned at'9:55 p.m. PRESIDENT SECRETARY Chairman Mat.H1msI He should state the purpose of the hearing (informational and information gathering), and give the procedure to be' followed; which,is as follows: 1. Steve P., Director should review the plan and tell what it is exactly, what it does, and what can be expected from it. This should be stated in everyday terms that the general public can understand. 2. Each member of the panel then will give their statement on the plan. 3. The general public will be invited to give written statements or read their comments into the record, 4, The general public will be given a chance to ask questions concerning the plan. It should be emphasized that all this. will take place in an orderly manner and only those persons recognized by the chairman will speak. ALL STATEMENTS WILL BE RECORDED Each person giving a statement may be limited to 5 minutes (d scretton of the chairman) depending on the number of people wishing to speak.
