11-11-7511-11-75 N No quorum Flood Maps and Regulations Planning Orientation A meeting of the Kalispell City -County Planning Board was held on Tuesday, November 11, 1975, at 8 p.m.. at the P P & L Service Center. Members present: Others present: Dale Haarr 1 APO Representative Garmen 'Meadows 1 News Representative Dorothy Garvin (Glacier Herald) Harvey Knebe 1 Maurice Eddie The meeting of the Kalispell City -County Planning Board was called to order by Vice -President Dale Haarr, Due to the lack of a quorum, no official action could take place, as a result, Vice -President Dale Haarr stated that since the general orientation did not require a quorum, and was for general Board information and question, the balance of the meeting should be devoted to the general orientation. Steve Petrini passed out to members present, copies of the H.*U;D. Flood Maps for the Kalispell Area and the County Regulation pertaining to flood areas. Steve Petrin't distributed copies of a summary and history of planning legislation and planning board res.ponsibilies, (A copy of which is attached hereto), to the -members present and reviewed the summary with the Board in detail. Steve pointed out that the Board had the following major dutt'es; 1. Prepare a Master Plan and propose it for adoption by the units of local governments the Board represented. 2. Prepare subdivision regulations and propose them for adoption. If adopted,review subdivisions under ,the regulations*` 3. Prepare zoning regulations and propose them for adoption. If adopted, possibly act as the zoning commission, 4. Make recommendations to local government on matters referred to the Planning Board. Steve also pointed out that the powers the Board had were advisory.only and the local government had the final authority. Steve then generally reviewed with the board the subdivision regulations and the procedures for review of various types of'subdivisions. Comprehensive Paan Steve also reviewed the adopted Kalispell (� Comprehensive Plan, and stated'that the recommendations contained therein were advisory, but that changes to the plan should be asked by 'sound fact not by conjecture, .There being no other business the unofficial meeting was adjourned at 10;10'.p;m, ............. . .
