A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION TO THE PRELIMINARY
PLAT OF ASHLEY SQUARE, AMENDED PLAT OF LOT 2 OF THE RESUBDIVISION OF
LOTS 1 AND 3 GIBSON ADDITION NO.41 SUBDIVISION, LOCATED ON THE NORTH
SIDE OF US HIGHWAY 2 ONE-HALF MILE WEST OF NORTH MERIDIAN ROAD.
WHEREAS, the city council of the City of Kalispell granted preliminary plat approval for Lot 2B
of Ashley Square Mall on May 5, 2007, and
WHEREAS, Aspen Ridge Architects, on behalf of the owner, now desires a one-year extension to
the preliminary plat for Lot 2B of Ashley Square Mall due to the downturn in market
conditions, and
WHEREAS, Section 2.06 of the Kalispell Subdivision Regulations and Montana Subdivision and
Platting Act allows the city council to grant a one-year extension to the preliminary
plat in addition to the original three year approval; and
WHEREAS, good cause exists for the request for extension by Aspen Ridge Architects and it is in
the best interests of the city that the extension be given.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL, MONTANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the application of Aspen Ridge Architects for a one-year extension of
the preliminary plat of Lot 2B of Ashley Square Mall, Kalispell, Flathead
County, Montana is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND SIGNED BY THE MAYOR OF THE
CITY OF KALISPELL, THIS 1ST DAY OF MARCH, 2010.
