04-16-24 Conrad Mansion Board MinutesConrad Mansion Museum Board of Directors April 16, 2024 - 4:00-5:00 p.m. Chamber of Commerce 1. Welcome- Members present: Teri Iwerson, Susanne Wigginton, Sue Corrigan, Chris Vick, Cate Webber, Natalie Robinson, Gail Erickson, Mary Pat Murphy, Everit Sliter, Katharine King, Diane Medler, Carrie Nelson, and Museum Director Brit Clark. 2. Consent Agenda- a) March minutes- Misspelled name correction requested. b) Treasurer’s report for March 2024- Accepted. Katharine moved to accept the report. Chris seconded. c) Budget- Approved 2024 operating budget with correction to include Sorcha’s salary. Everit made motion to adopt budget. Chris seconded. All in favor. 3. Other Business- Sue moved to transfer $70,000 from First Interstate Money Market account to D.A. Davidson endowment for investment. Everit seconded. All in favor. 4. Fundraising- a) Great Fish Community Challenge- After more consideration, Brit would like to dedicate funds from the Great Fish Community Challenge to improving ADA accessibility for guests. This would include installing a wheelchair lift to the porch under the porte-cochère, smoothing and stabilizing boards on the porch, purchasing a ramp for the front door and creating a video tour for those who cannot access the third floor. Brit has looked at ramps that range from $5,000-$10,000. She will get estimates for lift and ramp installation at the Mansion. A motion was made to direct funds from the Great Fish Community Challenge toward increasing accessibility for guests. Motion carried unanimously. b) Room Sponsorships Committee Report (Teri and Gail)- provided updates on room sponsorships. 5. Facilities- a) Cate shared updates on the new building planning. The committee will meet on April 17th. Susanne recommended that table/chair storage have a direct route with no corners to move tables around. Bathrooms are the primary goal for the space. Bathroom access will be limited to use during Mansion hours. 6. Executive Director’s report (Brit)- monthly written report submitted. a) Ticket sales going well for upcoming events. b) 4th of July- Sponsor is being sought for ice cream. Porteus BBQ and So Delightful will provide lunch concessions. All hands needed for volunteers that day. c) Ghost Tours- These will be expanded to two weekends this year.
